We tried out a dance class this past weekend. Erin loves to dance, so
I thought she'd enjoy a class dedicated to moving around and dancing.
She did a lot of standing around and staring at people than actually
moving around and dancing. All of this was to be expected. The class
started at 11am, later than what I wanted (Erin is usually taking her
nap at this time) so I could tell she wasn't all that energized. I also
wished the class had a little more structure and less of just running
around with music on. Her little outfit was pretty dang cute.
This was Erin's favorite part of the class. She got to jump over the animals.
Overall,
the dance class was fun but both Ken and I agreed that we liked the
gymnastics class better. We think it'll be better for Erin at this age
and we like that it starts earlier in the day. We'll enroll her once we
get back from Italy when she's almost 21 months. So hopefully she'll
enjoy it, because we'll have to commit to a 10 week session. Yay for
gymnastics!
